Weekly Photo Challenge: Muse

Lone fisherman Reelfoot Lake Tennessee

I have to admit that I’ve seen the word “muse” used many times and although through context I was able to have at least a partial understanding of its meaning, I’ve never known its exact definition. “A source of inspiration” according to the dictionary definition. My muse, the source of my inspiration, is all around me. I see it in the green of the grass, the colorful leaves on the fall trees, the spring flowers blooming in the field, the warm glow of the setting sun; in a fisherman sitting in solitude on the bank of the river.

Weekly Photo Challenge: ROY G. BIV

Double Rainbow over Maui

RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE, INDIGO and VIOLET.

What could be more appropriate for this week’s photo challenge than this photograph of a double rainbow over the mountains of Maui? I see this photo and my mind immediately goes to ukele version of Hawaii’s Israel Kamakawiwo’ole “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. I love that song. Here’s a link to this wonderful song on YouTube:
